Mattia Dalla Piazza

Mattia’s fascination with cybersecurity began in the early 2000s during his school days when he discovered vulnerabilities in school systems. With over 15 years in the Information Technology domain, he has built a notable career that includes leadership roles, such as heading a System Engineering Centre of Excellence for UniCredit Bank and being an International IT Manager at IBM. Mattia’s expertise also extended to a NASDAQ-listed company, where he oversaw the management of its data centers as a System Engineer. Mattia is well-known for his ability in information network design, security, and infrastructure architecture. His robust problem-solving skills and forward-thinking vision underscore his commitment to enhancing service efficiency and fortifying his clients’ security posture.

Alessio Dalla Piazza

Former Founder & CTO of CYS4, he embarked on active digital surveillance work in 2014, collaborating with global and local law enforcement to combat terrorism and organized crime. He designed and utilized advanced eavesdropping technologies, identifying Zero-days in products like Skype, VMware, Safari, Docker, and IBM WebSphere. In June 2016, he transitioned to a research role at an international firm, where he crafted tools for automated offensive security and vulnerability detection. He discovered multiple vulnerabilities that, if exploited, would grant complete control. His expertise served the banking, insurance, and industrial sectors through Red Team operations, Incident Management, and Advanced Training, enhancing client security.

Alessandro Raponi

In the last 10 years, Alessandro has worked for big tech corporations like Rocket Internet, Salesforce, Splunk, and ultimately Google, where he led the go-to-market strategy for Cybersecurity Solutions of Google Cloud for the Italian Market. He has extensive knowledge of the B2B software market, having served Enterprise Customers from Financial Institutions to Public Administration to Utilities and Telcos. He graduated in International Management from Bocconi University.

Andrea stocchero

Andrea’s comprehensive expertise spans programming, automation, and cloud solutions, marking a career of innovation and leadership. He led multiple competency centers, emphasizing cloud computing and modern integrations like container adoption. Serving pivotal roles at UniCredit Bank, Andrea introduced transformative projects and championed integrating cutting-edge technologies, such as virtual reality for business visualization. As a Senior Cloud Architect, he designs versatile cloud solutions and actively embraces new tech innovations. Finally, Andrea has significantly supported the open-source world, especially the Chart.js project, being one of the main contributors.

Simone Raponi

Simone Raponi is a distinguished Computer Science and Engineering Ph.D. graduate from HBKU, Doha, Qatar. In 2021, his pioneering research in utilizing artificial intelligence to address cybersecurity challenges earned him the Best Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering Award and the Computer Science and Engineering Outstanding Performance Award. A prolific contributor to the field, Simone authored a book and penned 22 scientific articles. Concurrently with, and subsequent to his academic pursuits, he demonstrated his expertise as a Machine Learning Scientist at NATO’s Center of Maritime Research and Experimentation and secured prestigious internships at Iberdrola and Telefonica Research.

Carlo is a versatile professional with extensive international experience. His enthusiasm for innovation extends across cybersecurity, automotive, and aerospace, where he actively engages in pioneering projects. Holding a technical background in aerospace engineering and supplementing it with independent studies in programming and security, Carlo has organized and presented at international conferences and established tech startups related to the sharing economy and fashion before embracing marketing and sales.

Ion Farima

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Florence in 2020, Ion distinguished himself with his thesis project, developing a framework for Symbolic Execution on PHP software for vulnerability scanning. His engagement with cybersecurity started in 2018 when he joined the CyberChallenge IT program. After his first year as a participant, he transitioned to a role as a tutor, guiding young cybersecurity enthusiasts. In 2021, he embarked on a professional path with CYS4 as a cybersecurity analyst, where he deepened his skills in penetration testing, red team operations, and various offensive cybersecurity techniques. By 2022, he played a significant role in a project focused on the automatic penetration testing of APIs, then incorporated as Equixly.

Alessandro, a student pursuing a Master’s degree in “Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering” at the University of Pisa, exhibits a strong passion for development, particularly in the realm of AI’s role in enhancing cybersecurity. His bachelor thesis project, titled “Optimal Synthesis of Multi-Output Boolean Functions using ILP,” is a testament to his problem-solving skills and dedication to discovering innovative solutions for common issues. Throughout his academic journey, Alessandro has undertaken various projects that leverage machine learning and AI to address cybersecurity challenges.

Fabio Tagliaferro

Fabio Tagliaferro earned his Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Verona in 2020. Fueled by a profound passion for secure software programming and testing, he delved deeper into academic research, focusing on blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized identities. His academic journey began with a 12-month research fellowship in Verona. Subsequently, he embarked on a year of PhD studies at the University of Verona, simultaneously joining the R&D team in a Blockchain company. Later, he shifted his focus, transitioning to the software development sector.

Edoardo Zatti

With a master’s degree in Theoretical Physics, Edoardo has established a robust analytical thinking and problem-solving foundation. During the final year of his studies, he taught an integration course at the university, refining his communication skills and kindling his passion for education. His academic journey took an exciting turn during his master’s program as he ventured into the field of computer science through relevant courses. These courses sparked his interest in IT and led him to specialize in backend development, where he sharpened his skills through involvement in complex projects and practical experience in other Tech companies.

After gaining experience in different sectors, Alessandro enrolled at the IT University of Florence, where he graduated in 2021, alternating study and self-learning of full stack development.

Afterward, he consolidated his skills in different environments and now works at Equixly as a front-end developer.

Angelo Rosa

In 2021, Angelo obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of Florence. He has been interested in Cybersecurity since the first time he started to play with programming languages and the IT world. His thesis was concerned with OT Systems security, and he developed an application to run an algorithm to search security path holes in a company. He’s a CTF player and a player on “Hack The Box,” now one of the most important Penetration Testing platforms. He joined the CyberChallenge instructive course, participating in two important competitions. The first was the local competition in Tuscany, in which he arrived 1st over 23 other players. The second was a national competition involving the best 200 young hackers of 2022.

With an academic background in International Studies from the University of Trento, Giuliana began her professional career in the hospitality industry, where she honed her staff coordination and customer service skills. Subsequently, she refined her abilities and knowledge in the administrative and office management area, also working in the finance sector.

Abel studied Computer Science at the University of Verona, and comes from a startup experience. He has a profound passion for the evolving fields of programming and DevOps. His journey in technology is marked by a self-taught proficiency of languages like Python and Rust, and a deep dive into cloud technologies including AWS and GCP, particularly focusing on infrastructure automation, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Abel’s experience is characterized by his enthusiasm for DevOps. Outside of his professional endeavors, Abel finds balance in photography and beach volleyball.

Eugen is a curious and passionate security enthusiast. During his years at the University of Padua, he developed a deeper interest in AI and cybersecurity, leading to the publication of both his Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in renowned venues such as ESORICS and USENIX. After earning his Master’s degree, Eugen worked on penetration testing while at a consulting firm, engaging in a range of offensive security activities, from cloud security reviews to traditional web and API penetration tests in the Banking and Telco industries. He also contributed to the creation of security guidelines for Docker, web server configurations, and AI/LLM development.
